What is an Aviation Degree?

Courses an airline pilot should enroll in include english, mathematics, physics, and aeronautical engineering.

Education is important to have, as the aviation industry is heavily regulated. Pilots cannot fly more than 100 hours a month or 1000 hours per year. These regulations ensure that pilots are completely aware and can perform at their best when they fly. Pilots must also be certified with a license from the Federal Government to work commercially.

• Must be at least 23 years old
• Have flown for a total of 1,500 hours

or

• Have gone to school for aviation

According to the Bureau of Labor Services, aviation degree professionals earned $120,000 annually on average. The aviation field is highly competitive, so the best way to get a job as a pilot is to receive a degree in aviation.
